Trailer Reaction: Fallout 4

The Hype is real ladies and gentleman.  Fallout 3 was such a different type of game and I put a lot of hours into it exploring the wasteland's of DC.  And then Bethesda went off and wandered around the frozen tundra of Skyrim.  When they returned from there we all wondered what they were working on.  They went silent for a time but leaks and rumors swirled that the next project was Fallout 4.  Then Bethesda said were having our own E3 press conference.  First thing I know I thought of was 'Were getting a Fallout 4 announcement.'.  The hype began to build.  The earlier this week we got a site that just showed this and a count down timer to Wednesday morning.

This was it.  It was really happening.  Fallout 4 was going to be a reality.  That morning the timer would run out and we would get a 30 second teaser announcing it and maybe learn more during there press conference.  The timer ran out and I waited to see what they would show.

What the heck!  That was 3 minutes of game footage.  What is going on.  Oh wow this game looks fantastic.  Shut up Bethesda and take my money now.  Whew.

That was not what I was expecting at all and it put a smile on my face.  In reality it was a brilliant move by Bethesda.  Now the buzz is all about this game and now even more people are going to watch the E3 press conference.  The trailer hit all the beats that I want to see in a Fallout game.  The new setting looks amazing.  A city like Boston with the history it has and all the great landmarks is going to make a great backdrop in a post nuclear war setting.  Plus I'm hopeful that with this much getting dumped in a trailer they are much further along.  I would not be shocked to see this come out this holiday or possibly early next year.  Overall this did exactly what it was intended to do.  It got us hyped up for this fantastic new game and ready to wander back into the wasteland.

This one gets a thumbs up from me.
